Künstlerhaus Klagenfurt

In the rooms of the Künstlerhaus conceptual works in the areas
of object art, photography, space installation, film and projection
form the focus of the K08 exhibition. Around the central work of
Meina Schellander and Inge Vavra, who were early in connecting
sculpture with graphic art and photography, there are the works of
a younger and middle-aged generation whose creations are closely
interrelated by a common strategy to step over the media limits of
object, photography, and video art, thereby developing their work in
direct reference to the locale or the theme of the exhibition. There
are exhibits by Ines Doujak, Luisa Kasalicky, Manuel Knapp, Roland
Kollnitz, Anja Manfredi, Melitta Moschik, Katarina Schmidl, Meina
Schellander, Nicole Six & Paul Petritsch, Herwig Turk, and Inge
Vavra, and in the so-called Kleine Galerie Aquarena is shown, a
film by Josef Dabernig and Isabella Hollauf. The presentation in the
Künstlerhaus complements and supplements the various examples
of contemporary art in MMKK, Carinthia’s Museum of Modern Art.
