Haus der Architektur

Apart from documenting all that is remarkable in regional
architecture, Carinthia’s House of Architecture has developed into
a centre of national and international exchange in the architectural
scene. This aspect forms the basis for the exhibition called
architekturTRANSFER. A selection of projects by international
architectural firms that since 1990 have set important landmarks in
Carinthia is complemented for the first time by a survey of Carinthian
architects who found, or have found, the centre of their working life
outside Carinthia. The large number of individual projects worldwide
documents the importance of a transfer of advanced contemporary
architecture in all directions: from the outside world to Carinthia, as
well as from an architectural scene working here in Carinthia to the
outside world. SHARE architects have created an unconventional,
playful presentation of the 21 teams of architects introduced. As
an additional tool the exhibition is accompanied by a graphically
processed look “Reality Check” at the various structures and
working methods of young architectural practices in Europe.
